One cent sounds like nothing until you multiply it by how people actually use a deletion tool. Nobody signs up to delete ten tweets — they come to wipe years of history.

2. One-time paid tools

Several tools switched to one-time purchases ($15 to $99) that cover the API costs of a full wipe with margin. Fair, but you pay before you see how well the tool handles your account.

3. Browser-local tools

A newer category skips the API entirely and deletes tweets by automating your own browser session. No API fees, so pricing is lower — but the approach sits outside X's official rules, breaks whenever X changes its interface, and puts your own account on the line if X objects to the automation. The 3,200-tweet wall (still there)
